Brand packaging and website

Our initial task was to design a special edition packaging for a local Blue Mountains coffee roaster, featuring a single origin concept. However, the client was so thrilled with the final design, crafted collaboratively by our team, that they decided to not only continue with the coffee but also launch a website, establishing it as their premium specialty brand.

We partnered with an Australian lino-cut artist, incorporating banksias, a symbol closely associated with the local landscape. We added a touch of art deco typography and art nouveau framing, infusing the brand with a whimsical and ethereal charm.

Designed at Factory One, Sydney Australia.

After the initial 1kg bag was designed and approved, we were briefed on translating the design to a small 13cm sticker label for the 250g sample bags, as well as a rubber stamp for pastries and takeaway food, and a bio-cup full pattern design to supply to cafes.

As well as the packaging elements, creating a full brand story and complete website based off just 1kg bag, and a short tasting note had its challenges. With further research and a strong understanding of the local area, we were able to pull together the content and a cohesive website design for the client.

Brand Identity

We built the brand identity with a focus on the unique flora and fauna of The Blue Mountains, NSW.

Packaging Design

Being led by the 1KG coffee bean bag, we then went on to adapt sticker labels for 250g bags, takeaway cups and a rubber stamp for snack bags and takeaway boxes.

Website Design

As this turned into a premium brand rather than a one-shot product, we created a simple yet stylish website to showcase the sizes of coffee and celebrate the story.
